Non-homestead Operating Millage Proposal; Replace, Restore, Extend; Frequently Asked Questions

L'Anse Creuse Public Schools will be asking the community to vote on a Non-Homestead Operating Millage Proposal on the August 4, 2026 ballot. The ballot proposal would replace, restore and extend the authority of the district to levy the statutory limit of 18 mills on properties such as commercial, business, rental properties, vacant land, and second-home properties. This Operating Millage proposal DOES NOT affect property taxes for primary residences.
